Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has annulled the allocation of 14 plots in Johar Town; following the civic agency’s revocation of an ‘excess land exemption’ provision (by which 10 kanals of extra land space had previously been allocated to several plot recipients), a news source reported. The plots nullified were worth PKR 400 million.

The spokesperson said that LDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Muazzam directed Land Development-1 Director Muazzam Rasheed to cancel the said provision given that it was violating the authority’s exemption policy.
Further, the LDA has submitted a report pertaining to this matter to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
