Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has called a meeting of its governing body on August 24 (Saturday) to discuss and finalise the bylaws for the construction of high-rises in the city, a news source reported. The body is also expected to take an important decision regarding the appointment of a consultant for preparing the Lahore Master Plan 2040.

LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran will preside over the meeting. As per the news sources, the meeting has a three-point agenda which pertains to:
- Approval for rules finalised for Auction of Lease Rights Regulations 2019 and Allotment of Public Utility Sites 2019
- Approval for the ToRs proposed for the Lahore Master Plan 2040 and hiring a consultant for its preparation
- Formation of new and improved building bylaws to encourage construction of high-rise buildings in the Lahore
Furthermore, the meeting members are expected to oversee the draft prepared for the LDA building and Zoning Regulations 2019. In addition, the LDA director general would give briefing on the actions taken on orders given by the former governing body of the development authority.
