Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday announced that it had issued building plan approvals for 576 new structures in the city, a news source reported. It further notified alteration approvals to the building plans for 162 existing structures.

Sources revealed that the LDA issued these building plan approvals within the past three months. They added that the authority had also provided completion certificates to 59 new buildings in Lahore during the same period.
LDA Vice Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Imran met with Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus Walid Mushtaq. He informed the honorary consul that the authority had simplified the process of sanctioning approvals for private housing schemes in Lahore. He added that that a scheme could now obtain an LDA approval within 30 days.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the development of Lahore and other matters of mutual interest. They also reviewed the prospects of benefiting from Belarus’s experience in town planning.
