Lahore: Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq briefed a seven-member delegation from Dubai Land Development (DLD) on LDA’s operations and ongoing reforms. The news has been sourced from an article on October 18.

According to the details, the delegation was briefed on key aspects of LDA’s operations, including town planning, property management, land use regulations, and building and zoning rules. Discussions also covered private housing schemes, the Citizen Facilitation Centre, and ongoing digitisation efforts. The delegation provided suggestions for improving private housing scheme management and proposed the introduction of escrow accounts in the development sector.
DG LDA Tahir Farooq praised DLD’s expertise, noting that the partnership under the previously signed MoU is providing valuable technical support. The delegation also visited the Citizen Facilitation Centre and Property Transfer Cell, where they commended LDA’s online building plan approval system. Souvenirs were exchanged at the conclusion of the visit.
