Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has begun work on a road project that involves the construction of a 7.5-kilometre alternate route to Raiwind Road and the conversion of Defence Road into a two-lane thoroughfare, a news source reported.
According to the news piece, the alternate route to Raiwind Road will be a two-way thoroughfare with three lanes each and will stretch from Valencia Town to Adda plot.
Defence Road, too, will be a two-way thoroughfare consisting of two lanes each and will extend from Bobatian Chowk to Kahna flyover.
The project will be completed by next month at an estimated cost of PKR 3 billion.
