Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has begun remodeling Thokar Niaz Baig chowk upon the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, according to a news source.

LDA Director General Usman Moazzam visited the site and inspected the repairs being made on the roads and sidewalks. He also examined the rainwater drainage system restoration and other proceedings. Planning and Development (P&D) Director Aslam Parvez, Project Director Iqrar Hussain, and other concerned officials were all present at the occasion.
The Director General spoke to the media during this visit and said that since Chowk Thokar Niaz Baig is one of the busiest thoroughfares of the city, the traffic flow of the millions of vehicles passing through it daily will be facilitated through this remodeling.

He also instructed the relevant authorities to construct overhead bridges for pedestrians and requested the demarcation of areas appropriate for zebra crossings. He demanded the removal of illegal hoardings as well and asked for a default style to be designed for the promotional purposes of offices and shops. He directed all the relevant departments and agencies on this project to work in total harmony.
