Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Saturday (February 19) decided to allot plots to the affectees of the LDA Avenue-1 housing project, news sources reported. The balloting of the plots will be allowed soon to compensate the file holders.

Reportedly, in a governing body meeting of LDA, the participants also allowed the conversion of 23-kanal residential land into a model graveyard. The management of the graveyard will be handed over to Shehr-e-Khamoshan Authority. Some of the other decisions taken during the meeting were:
- Conversion of 10 roads in the city into commercial roads
- Reclassification of nine roads into commercial avenues
- Handing over plot numbers 50-A/1 and 50-A/2 in Rachna Block Allama Iqbal Town to Municipal Corporation Limited (MCL)
- Allocation of a 10-kanal plot in Etihad Town-Raiwind Road to the Punjab Environmental Protection Department (EPD) for the building of a Model Green Building

- Formation of a committee to resolve the land-related issues in Khasra number 821 in Mouza Kharak in Mustafa Town
