Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced a final extension in the deadline for payment of dues (with fine inclusions) for the plot-owners of LDA Avenue-I and Jubilee Town to June 30, 2020, according to a publication.

The decision was made in an LDA meeting held on January 28, 2020, and it was made clear that no further extension will be granted in the matter.
The authority notified that the allottees and plot-owners of LDA Avenue I and Jubilee Town should submit their dues by the extended deadline or face plot cancellations.

LDA Avenue-I has remained stalled for many years due to legal complications and other hurdles. Previously, the department has announced its success in clearing the way for granting possession for 487 plots located in blocks A, B, D, and G of LDA Avenue-I. Moreover, LDA announced that it shall compensate the owners who surrendered their land for the residential scheme.
