The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has already handed over possession in 69% of the clear area of its LDA Avenue I project. Two rounds of balloting for allotment of alternate plots were held recently and the rest of the stakeholders, who failed to make the cut, are awaiting the third round.
The latest development in the locality is that it now has an access route from Defence Road, according to Mr Mian Rameez of Rameez Associates, who also tells Zameen.com that the levelling work has been completed while the authorities concerned are yet to carpet the road.
The road is open to traffic and people can now easily access LDA Avenue I from Defence Road. With this development, the value of plots in Blocks K and L are likely to increase because these two blocks are the direct beneficiaries of this development.
On my recent visit to the society, I saw that development work was being carried out in some patches of the project. Construction of houses has also begun there and I even happened to meet a prospective resident, who was at the construction site of his 10-marla house in Block A.
He said that he would shift to his new house on the 1st of Ramadan. The only thing he complained about was the lack of electricity supply in the locality and wanted the issue to be resolved on a priority basis, so that more plot-owners could start building their houses.
The grid station of the society is already set up in Block M, but power supply has not been started as yet. Once started, the development will lure further plot-owners to start building their houses in the locality.
And, it is not possible for you to access LDA Avenue I from Raiwind Road because of the development work being carried out on the road. So, you should use Khayaban-e-Jinnah to reach the society.

From Thokar Niaz Baig, the society has a direct access via Raiwind Road. And which under under-construction road are you talking about.? Development work was being carried out on Raiwind Road, which is directly linked to Thokar Niaz Baig and from Thokar Niaz Baig, the interchange of M2 Motorway is only a few minutes away.
what u think about future prospect and price appreciation in LDA Avenue ?

I think the future of the society is bright, but the LDA has to deal with the litigation issues and promptly compensate the affectees. Otherwise, the society’s location and its master plan are quite attractive. I personally like this society, but I feel sorry for those who have faced litigation issues here.

High court has declared acquisition of land illegal and clearly criticized the LDA policies and point of view on the basis of solid logical grounds. The decision has been uploaded on web. Now how the fate of those given alternate as well as plots on litigated area will be handled by LDA. Court has declared the action of LDA clear violation of basic human rights as the land is already been used by the societies for the same purpose of housing to public.
i am not able to understand how these MF will compensate the rest of the effectties
