Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced its decision to reschedule the ballot date for its LDA Avenue-I plot allotment event, according to news sources. As per the announcement, the ceremony (previously set to take place on January 14) will now be held tomorrow (January 16) at 10:30am at the Sports Complex venue in Johar Town.
The management is expected to allot plots to 487 LDA Avenue-I allottees. Previously, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued possession letters to 623 affectees of the scheme.

According to reports, Punjab Minister for Housing & Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed will inaugurate the event.
LDA Director General (DG) Sumair Ahmad Syed recently stated that the developers of two more housing schemes, Mumtaz Housing Scheme and the Board of Revenue Employees Cooperative Housing Scheme, located in the vicinity of LDA Avenue-I, had agreed to give up their land against a 30% exemption facility offered by the LDA.

He further said that the balloting process would be executed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
