LDA Director General (DG) Usman Muazzam recently stated that the development authority would conduct the balloting process in the presence of several representatives of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Punjab Cooperatives Department, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), and the national media outlets.
The LDA DG revealed that the transfers of plots had previously remained pending due to a set of lawsuits filed by the administrations of various housing schemes against the development authority. He added that the LDA had successfully negotiated with the parties concerned; offering a 30% land exemption to the said residential projects.
Further, Muazzam stated that the LDA had begun talks with the managements of private housings societies situated within the LDA Avenue-1. He said the officials concerned were hopeful that the discussions would produce positive results for the affectees.
