Reportedly, these funds will be used to provide basic civic facilities such as roads, electricity, water supply, sewerage, and landscaping on the outskirts of Lahore. The aim of this project is to develop the peripheral areas of the city for residential purposes, thereby making it more livable and attractive. According to sources, the budget has been increased to accommodate the burgeoning population in the city’s central areas, leading to congestion and frequent traffic jams.
