Lahore: The governing body of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday approved a feasibility study for several traffic projects, expected to be implemented in four locations of the city, a news source reported. The Chief Minister (CM) Punjab has been paying special attention to the issue. He recently formed a committee to oversee the Model Road Project in Lahore, the purpose of which is smooth traffic flow.
According to officials, the civic body aims to facilitate vehicular movement in the city. The locations for these approved development projects are Sheranwala Gate to Railway Station, Shahdara Chowk, Campus Pull, Y-Junction, and Firdous Market.

During the same meeting, the authority approved the appointment of a consultant for the preparation of a new master plan for Lahore. The study area will include districts of Lahore as well the urban and rural parts of the districts of Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib.

Members of the meeting also recommended changes and made amendments to the draft of the Land Use Rules 2019, and later forwarded it to the Punjab Cabinet for approval.
