The agency has prepared a development proposal worth PKR 200 million for the project. The governing body of the LDA is expected to approve the venture in its upcoming meeting.
According to the details available, the LDA has decided that the Finance & Trade Center is the ideal location to develop high-rise buildings in the city — with the initiative in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, the LDA has repeatedly faced difficulties in auctioning plots in FTC due to minimal development in the area and encroachments on the project.

Now, in order to turn the FTC into a commercial hub and to make it an attractive prospect for investors, the LDA has decided to further develop the area. In this regard, development work — including the construction of roads and the laying of sewerage lines — is expected to be initiated in the area behind the Expo Centre soon.
