Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced its decision to amend bylaws in order to raise height limits for multi-storey buildings in the city, a news source reported. To facilitate this measure, the civic agency has invited suggestions from Metropolitan Officers (Planning).

According to current proposals, LDA will divide buildings into six categories based on their height limit. A building higher than 45 feet will be categorized as a multi-storey building. LDA will also raise the height limit for construction on 10-marla plot on a 30ft road from 38 feet to 48 feet.

For 1-kanal plot, the limit will be 90 feet; for 2-kanal plot, the limit will be 120 feet; for 4-kanal plot, the limit will be 200 feet; for 8-12 kanal plot, the height limit will be 300 feet; for larger plots, height more than 300 feet will be conditional on approval by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
