Lahore: The Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) has announced the second auction of 7 premium mixed-use commercial plots of various sizes on Main Boulevard Gulberg, near Kalma Chowk and has invited pre-launch registrations from interested candidates, according to the authority’s official website.

These plots which are being sold off in the second auction by the LCBDDA are part of Lahore’s recently announced ‘first Downtown of the city’. Offered on an a 5-year payment plan, these plots offer a limited opportunity to expand the business activities in Lahore and promote the trend of vertical developments. The application forms for plots in Downtown Lahore are inviting potential investors to choose the size of the plots that will most interest them, and provide their registered company’s’ names, city and type of business.

As per a news published on December 31, 2021, Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab Hasaan Khawar stated that the master plan for the project includes the first organised downtown area, a digital and a residential city.
He hinted that the project includes modern civic amenities like blue roads, facilities for pedestrians, smart trees, an underground traffic system, an uninterrupted power supply and the internet of things (IoT). It may be noted here that that government aims to generate the economic activity of up to PKR 2.5 trillion from the CBD initiative.
