Lahore: The Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) on Monday (February 21) held a closing ceremony for the student apprenticeship programme for fresh graduates, news sources reported. A total of 36 students will receive training to improve their soft and managerial skills as part of the initiative.

According to reports, the initiative was well-received during the ceremony attended by Punjab Housing Minister Asad Khokhar and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) Hassan Khawar. the apprenticeship programme lead to job placement would assist in the increased employment rate among young people while also preparing them for future labour market challenges. Students will get two months of training in 12 soft skills and 10 hard skills including; interpersonal skills, team building, contingent decision making, stress management, communication skills, artificial intelligence, project management, and cyber security – as part of the curriculum.

According to sources, 8,000 students from varied backgrounds applied for the project, with 450 being chosen for further interviews. Similarly, only 36 students were chosen for the two-month training programme following the last round of interviews and discussions.
