Quetta: Additional Secretary Industry and Commerce Manzoor Hussain has revealed that the Balochistan government has formulated laws to allot land in industrial zones and intends to completely digitize all land records of the province, according to a news source published on February 17.

Moreover, Secretary Hussain also revealed the government has taken special measure to resolve the issues regarding land allotments in the industrial zone. He added that the development work on projects launched in Gwadar under the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) initiative is underway.

According to the new rules, land in industrial zones of Balochistan will only be given to industrialists who will invest during the period specified by the provincial executive. Another government official revealed that the provincial government will also allocate some 20,000 acres of land for Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Gwadar.
