ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has been struggling to complete work on the 95-kilometre long Sibi-Harnai and 39-kilometere long Harnai-Khost sections because of the law and order situation in the areas, a news source reported. Work on the track is expected to be completed within the year, however.
“Around 90 per cent work has been completed on both sections and the department is taking many steps to complete the sections as soon as possible,” sources in the Ministry of Railways told the media.
A feasibility study for the same has also been completed, as per information conveyed to an NA body.
The two sections have been pursued by authorities for the past five years, however, work is yet to be completed. The Kohat-Rawalpindi tracks have already been repaired, and this is the next step.
