Peshawar: The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) on Monday (October 04) announced the completion of 216-kanal park that’s located on Peshawar Ring Road, news sources reported. Previously a municipal dumping ground, the area has been converted into the largest park of the city by the civic authority.

According to the sources, the Peshawar park project was completed in a 4-month period and is equipped with modern entertainment and recreational facilities including an amusement park, 13-kanal-wide children play area and an area for special people and people with disabilities. According to one PDA official, there is a 1.5-kilometre jogging track in the vicinity that’s contemporarily designed and a much-needed addition because there used to be a jogging track in Garrison Park which has since closed down.

Sources also said that the administration is also planning to build a Zoo adjacent to the park on the vacant land for which decisions will be taken soon.
