Taxila: The government has announced its decision to establish computerised land record facilitation centres for overseas Pakistanis in four countries, according to a news report published today (January 11).

Provincial Minister for Revenue Colonel (retired) Malik Mohammad Anwar Khan expressed his views on the matter during a press briefing in Attock on Sunday. He revealed that these computerized land record facilitation centres will be set up in the Pakistani Embassies situated in the United States of America (USA), the United Kingdom (UK), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

These centres would be introduced to facilitate overseas Pakistani in obtaining online documents of their properties. The minister also stated that during the Fiscal Year 2018-19 PKR 76 billion were recovered under the agriculture income tax, while 140,000 acres of land worth PRK 1,000 billion had been retrieved from land mafia.
