Karachi: The Sindh administration has reportedly proceeded with the computerisation of land records. According to a news source, the provincial authorities are still a fair way from completing this multi-billion-rupee project, but they are close to the completion of linking the records with geographic information systems (GIS).
The news source reported further that the project called ‘Land Administration and Revenue Management’ was launched in 2009 on orders from the Supreme Court and former president Mr Asif Ali Zardari with the aim of protecting records maintained by the Board of Revenue.
