Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali recently revealed that 8,500 kanals of land had been acquired for the development of the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme in Sorazai, according to a news source. As per the publication, the KP government will construct the link road and boundary wall for the project, while the federal government will construct the project’s grey structure.

The minister shared this information during a session held to brief him on various ongoing development projects and housing schemes in KP. He was told that the KP Housing Department had completed the Molazai Housing Scheme and that the owners of these properties were in the process of receiving possession. The minister also learnt that the department is currently constructing 144 flats for public servants in Hayatabad Phase 5.

Briefing the minister, KP Housing Secretary Hassan Mehmood Yousafzai also shared the latest development status of the Jerma Housing Scheme, Havelian Housing Scheme, CPEC City, Dangram Housing Scheme and Hangu Model Town.

Addressing the meeting members, Housing Minister Dr Ali further revealed that the department had also started the registration process to get details on provincial government workers so that they may be provided with residences soon.
