According to a news source, the operation was supervised by Assistant Commissioner Mr Asim Khalid Awan, Deputy
Superintendent of Police Mr Muhammad Naseer and two station house officers.The land-grabbers strongly resisted the operation. However, police freed the occupied historic site in the end. Moreover, a block factory and three shelters were also demolished during the operation.
