It was further revealed that the relevant authorities chose locations near the Wahando Interchange due to its location; as it falls in the middle of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway. This motorway connects the two cities through the eastern parts of Punjab. It has reduced travel time between Lahore and Sialkot to 41 minutes, and is expected to also help decrease the traffic on GT Road and the M2.
