Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Amjad Ali on Thursday stated that a land identification survey for Satellite Towns in ten KP districts would begin soon, a news source reported. He added that the housing sector featured as one of the top priorities of the provincial government.

Chairing the monthly review meeting of the Housing Department, the minister directed the officials concerned to accelerate work on the ongoing schemes. The meeting received a briefing that the land identification survey for establishing Satellite Towns in ten KP districts would begin soon. These included Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Tank Malakand, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, and Khyber.
The officials concerned informed the meeting that 78% of the construction work on the Hayatabad High Rise Flats had reached completion. They added that computer detailing and construction of blocks A and B would also reach completion this month. They further told the meeting about the 70% completed work on the Jalozai Housing Scheme.
According to the information revealed, the possession handover in the Jalozai Housing Scheme is expected to take place in December. Meanwhile, the housing minster directed that the balloting for the Hayatabad High Rise Flats should be completed by July 20. He further directed the authorities concerned to expedite the work being conducted on the Jarma Housing Scheme in Kohat, and other projects in Swat and Bajaur.

Additionally, Minister Ali ordered the relevant officials to prepare the feasibility report of the Media Colony and Dangram Housing schemes in Swat within a month.
