Previously, the officials had sought the chief minister’s approval for establishing commercial plazas and apartment projects along the OLMT route. Through this initiative, the executive hopes to generate additional revenue.
The commercialisation gig is expected to generate PKR 1.4 billion for the government. As per officials, this projected figure is far less as compared to the funds spent on the OLMT project’s civil works, utility service relocations and other expenditures.
