During the meeting, the PHA DG further mentioned that the planned forests would feature local plants to ensure their healthy growth. Reportedly, saplings of these fruit-bearing and shady trees are already available in PHA nurseries. The idea behind setting up urban forests in the city are in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean and Green Initiative to slowdown the impacts of global warming, improve environmental conditions, and to reverse the effects of smog.
