Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has acquired possession of 900 kanals of land in Chatta Bakhtawar for the planned King Hamad University of Nursing and Allied Medical University, reported a news source. Reportedly, it took the CDA 36 years to get possession of land in Chatta Bakhtawar.
These 900 kanals of land in mouza Chatta Bakhtawar was purchased back in 1981, but the civic authority couldn’t obtain possession. The case was later moved to the court where the affectees claimed that the CDA has not fulfilled their claims of pre-built properties on this land.
Later in 2014, when the authority allocated 237 kanals of land for King Hamad University in Chatta Bakhtawar and Mouja Village, serious efforts were made to get possession here. On October 7, the CDA announced an award against built-up properties of the land owners.
