Bahawalpur: The preparations for the distribution of 100,000 acres of land in Cholistan to the local dwellers are in the works. The distribution of land will be conducted under the Punjab Chief Minister’s Cholistan Package.
According to a news resource, six teams of revenue department are scrutinizing 54,000 pending applications held with the Cholistan Development Authority (CDA). CDA Managing Director Mr Iqbal Hussain told reporters that the teams had picked out 10,000 applicants who satisfied the terms and conditions to claim the land. He also told that the allotment of the land would be started next month.
On the other hand, CDA has invited tenders for the rehabilitation of 31 roads in Cholistan.
