According to the report, the affectees will be provided PKR 650,000 to PKR 700,000 per marla for their properties in these areas. However, some residents have raised concerns that the offered amount is low – when considering constructed properties – and market rates should be paid including the constructions, in order to fully compensate the affected people. Meanwhile, another demand has been the provision of alternative plots in lieu of these properties.
