Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has instructed Registrar and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat to conduct a land audit of all the housing schemes in the city, according to a news source published on September 11.

This land audit-initiative is aimed at determining the shortfall in land and overselling incidents concerning allotment letters issued by the societies.
Moreover, CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the sponsors of various housing schemes to ensure the provision of plots for their members and complete the development works in their respective societies.
The said developments were made in a meeting recently held to discuss the matters regarding the resolution of issues faced by the housing and construction sectors – to accelerate the overall national economy that falls in line with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s vision.

Earlier, Ahmed held meetings with the representatives of Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) and assured them that their issues would be timely resolved. He said that the developers should also focus to fulfil their commitments on the provision of residential plots to their members.
