Kohat: The Urban Development Authority (UDA) Kohat has approved land acquisition for the extension of Phase-II of Kohat Development Authority (KDA) Township, according to news published on April 18.

As per the details, the UDA has given the nod to acquire 1,500 kanals of land for expanding the Phase-II of KDA Township and providing better facilities to the residents. The KDA Township project director disclosed that the authority acquired PKR 350 million from a recent auction of 16 commercial and residential plots. It was informed that the commercial plots of different sizes 6.6 marla, 10, marlas, 1 kanal, and 2 kanals were included in the auction.

Reportedly, the acquired amount will be utilised for the provision of facilities to the residents of KDA Township including installation of streetlights, improvement of potable water facilities, renovation of parks, and pavement of roads. In another development, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Karim Khan inaugurated the rehabilitation of roads at the industrial estate and six private food and electronics industrial units in March.
