Mansehra: The Revenue Department on Thursday launched a land acquisition drive for the development of the Oghi-Battal Road project — with the venture estimated to cost PKR 220 million, according to news sources.

Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) and District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Nawabzada Fareed revealed the project particulars in a media briefing in Oghi. He said that this mega road project had been approved by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and that work on the venture had already been launched. He also took the opportunity to assure that the KP government had also launched additional road infrastructure projects in other parts of the province as well.

MPA Fareed appealed to the people to extend their cooperation to the Works and Communications Department in clearing their land for the construction of the Oghi-Battal Road in order to ensure the timely completion of the project. He further disclosed that development work on the estimated PKR 40 million worth Gandar Pari Road project had also been launched last month.
