Lahore: The Punjab Forest and Wildlife Department is looking to set up a wildlife park in the city’s northern extremities, according to a news source. In this regard, a part of the forest in Karol Ghati will be turned into a wildlife sanctuary.
The forest park will also include a lion safari, according to Forest and Wildlife Secretary Mian Waheeduddin. The park will also serve hunters, for which new rules are being prepared in consultation with those fond of hunting, said Forest and Wildlife Director General Khalid Ayaz Khan.
The new facility is also expected to increase the number of foreign tourists visiting Pakistan.
