Lahore: For the construction of 11 parking plazas in the city, Lahore Parking Company has submitted a working paper and feasibility report to Lahore Metropolitan Corporation, reported a news source. The cost of construction of these plazas has been estimated at PKR 3 billion.
According to details, a 10-storey high parking plaza spanning 3.6 kanals is planned to be built in Data Darbar area to park 380 cars and 575 motorbikes. Near Sheranwala Gate, a two-storey parking plaza on 20 kanals of land has been proposed. Hall Road is to have a seven-storey high plaza on 7.8 kanals of land.
To help fix parking issues in Town Hall, the parking company is looking to construct a parking plaza on 8.5 kanals of land. While Barkat Market will have 7.4 kanals parking plaza to accommodate 700 cars and 1,000 motorbikes on its two-storey structure.
Other parking plazas that Lahore Parking Company plans to construct will be located in Ichra, Akbari Gate, Model Town, Lahore High Court, Dehli-Muslim Hospital and on Ferozepur Road.
