Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi shared that the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road project is slated to open by the end of this month, according to news published on January 16.

The CM, accompanied by the cabinet, embarked on a comprehensive tour of Gujranwala, inaugurating key projects and inspecting the progress of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road. The news source mentioned that the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road is scheduled to open for traffic by January 31.
CM Naqvi inaugurated 37 police stations and five additional projects during the visit. Among the notable developments was the initiation of a flyover at ‘Chan da Qila,’ designed to seamlessly connect the Expressway with GT Road. To ensure the success of this crucial component, the chief minister formed a committee tasked with finalizing the design of the ‘Chan Da Qila’ Flyover.
During the visit, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also inaugurated the upgraded People’s Colony Police Station in Gujranwala, showcasing the government’s commitment to bolstering law enforcement. The CM also inaugurated Punjab’s third Business Facilitation Centre, Squash Academy, and Gujranwala Gymkhana, adding to the array of facilities available in the region.

The 17-kilometre-long Wazirabad-Sialkot Kashmir Road and the Gujranwala-Pasrur Road Section Expressway projects were also officially launched, contributing to the overall development of the area.
Besides this, the CM inspected six development projects in the city, including the Shahdara flyover project, where landscaping, drainage, and roadwork achieved a 100% completion rate.
