Lahore: The Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) on Tuesday approved an extension of the Lahore Ring Road (LRR); expected to be realised through the development of its Southern Loop-III – a news source reported.

The authority took this decision at a meeting of its Steering Committee in Lahore, which was presided over by Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht.

Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Habib-ur-Rahman Gillani, Member P&D Waqar Javed, MPAs Mian Tariq Abdullah and Sajjid Ahmed, and LUMS Professor Dr Abid Aman Burki were all present at the occasion.

P&D Chairman Gillani informed that the LRR extension project would link Adda Plot on Raiwind Road with Maraka on Multan Road. The officials hope to complete the construction work within a month’s timeframe.
In response, the finance minister said his government would complete pending infrastructure projects on an urgent basis.
