The decision led to a large number of people to visit their local parks across the city. However, the authorities concerned ensured that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were being followed, including a provision for all individuals to wear protective face masks and gloves.
Reportedly, the parks will remain open between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM. This announcement was made yesterday (Thursday) by Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Director General Muzaffar Khan Sial. He stated that the city’s parks would only be reopened under the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the provincial health department.

Additionally, the PHA director also urged the city’s residents to take all the necessary precautions, and maintain social distancing within the parks’ premises.
In turn, the citizens praised the Punjab government’s decision of opening the parks, as it allowed them to be able to exercise outdoors for the first time in 75 days.
