Multan: The Lahore-Multan Motorway, the construction work for which has been completed, is to be inaugurated today, reported a news source. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will cut the ribbon to mark the opening of this important road avenue.
The new route between Lahore and Multan will shrink the travelling distance between the two cities to 2.5 hours. The route will also offload traffic pressure on the Lahore-Multan Road. Reportedly, the motorway route connecting Shujabad with Multan and Multan with Khanewal has already been opened to traffic.
The Lahore-Multan Motorway connects Multan with Khanewal, Abdul Hakeem, Sharqpur, Nankan, Samundari, Rajana and Pir Mahal.
