Lahore: The Lahore-Multan Motorway will be inaugurated in April next year, a news source quoted Federal Communication Minister Dr Hafiz Abdul Kareem, who was speaking at the passing out parade of the Motorway Police on Friday. Kareem also said that the Hazara Motorway part running from Havelian to Hassanabad will open next month.
The passing out parade, in which 15 DSPs, 28 patrol officer and 344 junior patrol officers passed out, was attended by Highway Police Inspector General Dr Syed Kalim Imam, Training College Commandant Khalid Mehmood, DIG Ghulam Rasool Zahid, SSP Kamran Adil, SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal, and SSP Masroor Alam Kolachi.
While addressing the ceremony, Kareem briefed the audience about the upcoming and ongoing development projects, saying that roads are being built in different parts of the country as part of the government’s endeavours to speed up economic growth.
