Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) consulted with the experts to devise Lahore Master Plan 2050, according to news sources.

Vice Chairman of the LDA S M Imran presided over a seminar at Summer Palace, Lahore Fort. Chief Metropolitan Planner Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi, and Administrator Shahi Qila Saeeda Faiza Shah attended the seminar. Directors Faisal Masood Qureshi, Naveed Ahmed Bhatti, Bushra, Shafqat Niaz King, and Deputy Directors Usman Tahir, Mohammad Omar, Shiroz Javed, Architect Kamil Khan Mumtaz, Shiraz Mano and Akbar Sheikh of the Association of Builders, Darul Hindsa Lebanon, Walled City of Lahore officials, members of the Asian Engineering Councils, as well as other LDA officers, were also present.
The LDA worked with the Walled City Authority Lahore to create the Master Plan. SM Imran assured that transparency will be maintained throughout the process. The Master Plan will be created for both the city’s urban and rural sectors.
It was also reported that the plan was developed in collaboration with professionals, citizens, and stakeholders. In addition, the government, non-government, and other organisations submitted proposals to the LDA office for the improvement of the Lahore Division. Furthermore, for this strategy, LDA has sought the help of foreign and local consultants.

During the seminar, the LDA Chairman stated that Lahore is an old city with a rich legacy, and efforts are in the process to preserve it for future generations. In addition, city planners, architects, and engineers shed light on the challenges that people face.
