Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to seek consultancy from experts for the preparation of Lahore Master Plan 2040, reported a news source. The final approval in this regard will be given by the senior LDA official.

The civic body has already completed a survey in collaboration with the Urban Unit in various sectors including traffic, transport, health, education, industry, agriculture and land being used for commercial and residential purposes.

The expense required to hire services of the consultant firm is estimated at PKR 400 million. The consultants will help foresee the future needs of the city and conduct various surveys before the final report is presented to the LDA.

Based on this report, the civic authority will carry out the related developments and proceed with finalizing Lahore Master Plan for 2040. Back in November, the LDA sought suggestions from concerned departments and real estate developers on the master plan. Later, suggestions from public were also invited.
