Lahore: The District Administration of Lahore has recently announced plans to establish 10 model bazaars across the city, aiming to offer quality products at wholesale prices, as reported by a news source on February 18.

According to the details, a meeting to review the initiative was held on Saturday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza. Key officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Shojain Vistro and GM Model Bazaar Saddam Khokhar, were present.
Each tehsil will feature a market with 10 shops, seven of which will sell fruits, vegetables, lentils, spices, and essential items, while three will be designated for meat products. Vendors will be required to follow the market committee’s rate list to maintain affordability and quality for consumers.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of dedicated counters for women, senior citizens, and regular shoppers to improve convenience. Officials were instructed to complete arrangements by February 24 and ensure that Ramazan bazaars are operational well in advance of the holy month.
