Lahore: The Lahore Parking Company (LePark) has approved building an additional 200 parking sites to resolve the increasing traffic problems in the city, news sources reported. Following the revised decision taken in a meeting of the company’s board of directors, a total of 407 parking spaces will be available to solve the parking issues.

The board meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mudassar Riaz, who instructed the re-evaluation of the city’s five mega parking sites. Additionally, the decision was taken to double the revenue generation from major parking sites of Kareem Market, Ichra Market, Mall Road, and Liberty Chowk. The DC instructed the appropriate departments to expedite work and complete the building process quickly and efficiently.

Moreover, the board of directors elected Ms Rubina Nazar Sulehri chairperson of the Lahore Parking Company. The meeting was attended by members of the boards of directors.
