Lahore: The Punjab government has announced its decision to expand the Lahore Bridge, positioned in front of the Arfa Karim Technology Tower on Ferozepur Road, by converting the two-lane crossing to a three-lane stretch, a news source reported.

To facilitate this measure, the provincial executive has directed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to prepare the PC-I for the project. The civic agency is expected to complete the expansion task this year.

According to the details revealed, Lahore Bridge will be merged with the Gulab Devi Underpass as part of the expansion project. Under said initiative, the LDA will carpet roads and install guardrails on the crossing in a bid to ease traffic congestion on the frequented Ferozepur Road.
