As per the details, the original plan included the construction of an overhead bridge and an underpass, but these structures have been removed from the project. Initially, the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) was awarded the contract, but the garrison authorities did not approve it.
Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha stated that the project will continue with modifications. Instead of constructing the flyover and underpass, the focus will be on widening the roads to improve traffic flow. The signal-free corridor will stretch from Ammar Chowk to Motorway Chowk, and expanding Kutchery Chowk is expected to alleviate traffic congestion. The revised cost of the project was not provided.

Initially, 80 marlas of land were needed for the flyover, underpass, and roads, but now 170 marlas will be required. Additional lanes will be added to the existing tracks, and service roads and footpaths will be constructed. The traffic police have been tasked with creating a plan to ensure minimal disruption to traffic flow during the expansion.
