A PHAF official told reporters that construction work has commenced at the site, with ground-leveling of plots and the construction of roads, an overhead steel tank and a boundary wall already underway.
The project was reportedly delayed because of an inquiry conducted by the National Accountability Bureau and its ensuing legal proceedings. According to the official, the issues have now been resolved
The housing scheme was launched in 2012 to house federal government employees of BPS 20, 21, and 22.
