Mansehra: The construction work will soon start on the Kunhar Sharif Bridge after it was inaugurated by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, according to news published on June 22.

The Kunhar Sharif Bridge will be built at a cost of PKR 10 billion and will connect Torghar with Buner district over the Indus River. The former CM announced that work on the bridge would commence within a few weeks, as the necessary funds have already been allocated by the government. The bridge is expected to not only connect Torghar with Peshawar via Buner, reducing travel distance by almost half but also unite the five major tribes that have resided in the district for centuries.

Moreover, District Development Advisory Committee of Torghar’s Former Chairman Laiq Mohammad Khan also spoke at the event. He stated that his focus is on providing education and healthcare facilities to the locals and his contributions to the establishment of schools, colleges, and a district headquarters hospital.
