Peshawar: The waste management committee of the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) has decided to train all staff in the proper removal of waste, according to a news source. This will be a positive step for the promotion of hygiene and will maintain cleanliness and prevent infections.
So far, two workshops have been held to train head nurses, pharmacists, and managerial staff, with over 50 people being trained. The standards of waste disposal in private hospitals were discussed and how these standards can be applied in public hospitals to improve waste management and segregation.
